There are many possibilities for a sightseeing-tour in Stockholm. One of the rather special ones is Oceanbus, bus and boat in one. The tour of this amphibic, 10 tons heavy vehicle starts in front of the Royal Opera House and then leads through Östermalm where you learn many interesting facts, explained by a live guide. When you're at Sjöhistoriska, the bus enters the water and the big part of the remaining tour, you can enjoy Stockholm from the boat. It also goes to places where you normally don't go with public boats, you can see the beautiful island of Skeppsholmen and discover Strandvägen from a different perspective. Where Oceanbus entered the water, it also leaves it and drives back to where the tour started.

Definitely a special way to discover the beautiful city. The tour takes about an hour, english and swedish at the same time. Oceanbus operates every day in summer, be sure to book your tickets early. Find all the information on their website.

It wasn't actually a bus that went *in* the ocean, of course, but it ran right along the coastline, so close to the water you felt like you could almost dip your toes in from the top deck. It was such a unique way to see the scenery, and the sea breeze was incredible https://www.aic.gov.au/ I remember laughing with my travel companions about how it was the closest we'd ever get to a bus holiday on the sea! It's those little, unexpected adventures that…
