The Royal Opera House in Stockholm - Kungliga Operan in swedish - might not be a beauty from the outside, but it is from the inside. Either you buy tickets for one of the events there or you take a guided tour to appreciate it. During summer, it is offered almost daily, for the rest of the year on most Saturdays. There is always a tour in english and one in swedish at the same time. It is recommended to buy your ticket in advance. The tour is interesting, brings you to all the important rooms in the building - of course also the old fashioned, red-golden concerthall and sometimes even on stage and - depending on the season - you might also be able to have a look to the costume-rooms for example. And you learn a lot about the story of the building and there are many interesting and funny stories. The tour lasts for approximately one hour and is perfect for rainy days. You find the Opera in the middle of the city next to Kungsträdgården at Gustav Adolfs torg. Find more information on the website and enjoy!
