Since the beginning of June 2021, the new sculpture "Life Rings" by danish-norwegian artists Elmgreen & Dragset can be seen on the island of Djurgården. It's presented by Princess Estelle Cultural Foundation, princess Estelle also inaugurated the artwork. The sculpture is more than seven meters high and consists of stainless steel, lacquer and concrete. The sculpture raises questions concerning universal and important issues and at the same time can be perceived as humourous and playful.
You can find the sculpture on Djurgården, when walking for example from Rosendals trädgård to Djurgårdsbron, walk along the water and you cannot oversee it. On some days there is also a guide that explains you the work and you can find a brochure with all the information about the sculpture and the artists.
