Östermalms Saluhall is back at it's old place, after some years of renovation, and it's even more worth a visit now. As the name already tells it, it lies in the rather rich neighbourhood Östermalm and "saluhall" translates with "markethall", which explains the concept. You find many stands there with all kinds of delicious fresh food, very nicely presented. You can find bread, sweets, spices, cheese, chocolate, and a lot of meat and seafood. Also fully prepared meals to take away and some restaurants where you can eat after having chosen your food. Try for example the lenrimmad lax (cured salmon) with the potatoes at Tysta Mari. In my opinion the best salmon in Stockholm. Calculate some time there to see all the stands (also because normally it's by far not as empty as on the photo taken in summer 2020) a real pleasure for the eyes.
